The weather here in Florida has been epic. Great waves and warm temps. This made me think of our brothers in the MidWest. I poached these photos from Ryan Gerard's Third Coast Surf Shop.

Slurping Photos

These photo's were much larger before I slurpped them from The Surf Station (the First Coast Best Daily Web Surf Report). Slurrping sounds so wrong, like a mechanical extraction of data, I think I prefer "poached", it feels a little bit more hunter/gatherer style. And while I'm on the subject of web assimilated words, lets not forget the creation of BACN (notifications, that you signed up for, that clog your inbox, like from Facebook or the social network of your choice.)

PVC, Duct Tape...

American Ingenuity posted this interesting, thought provoking, idea inspiring, bit of water crafting. Me thinks a similar build is in order for the APC. Wrap the duct tape around the PVC and then glass it for water tightness. Done Deal.

A Rare Sight

Afloat on the WIlmington River in a plastic craft. Not my proudest day. But my van was dressed well and my Uncle saved the day in his hand-built wooden kayak. Huzzah!

The Aussie's are on the attack!! Good job fella's, it looks like a winner. I think this will definitely rear it's head at the FCSFF09.

Blueberry

Blueberry from jwbltn on Vimeo.
A vimeo snapshot of my rusty trusty beach cruiser. Music is poached from the "Innermost Limits of Pure Fun". It's either "The Farm" or one of the Dragon Bros. or Denny Aaberg?

The Original Twin Fin

After a light post on Friday about the Spitfire Fin and airplane wings, I found myself face to face with the original twin fin. The B24 Liberator, a WW2 USAAF Heavy Bomber, just like the one my Grandfather flew in Italy. It even turns out they had his name posted on the bomb bay doors. Also on site was a B17 Super Fortress and a P51 Mustang (not pictured because blogger is having some personal issues).

No Surf Today. It was called on an abundance of sunshine laziness.
